Woo Hoo!!! Andrew is graduated! I honestly don’t know who
is more excited … I think it might be me! I am glad to have him back! He has
worked so hard and I could not be more proud of him! We had a wonderful day at
graduation & celebrated all day!
Andrew ended up with a 4.0 GPA for the semester and graduated Summa Cum
Laude!!! His hard work and dedication
has definitely paid off!!
Now that school is out..we are rewarding ourselves by
going on a European Vacation!!! Which has been quite the story in its self…. We have been putting aside extra money in
addition to our normal savings for quite a while now in hopes that we would be
able to go to Europe. We found amazing
priced tickets earlier this year and purchased them. Before we purchased them we had been going
back and forth with dates and decided to leave 3 days after graduation. We kept thinking about it and just had the
feeling it would be better to wait another week after graduation. So we booked the tickets and began to start
planning! Just a couple weeks ago..
Andrew received an e-mail that the ATSAT test ( A test he has to take in order
to be hired by the FAA) was scheduled to be taken May 10th! It has
never been after graduation in the past 3 semesters… but we were relieved that
we had booked the later tickets so that he would be here for the test! Or so we thought… until LAST WEEK…. 2 days before graduation the FAA
decided to change the test to May 21st!!! Right in the middle of our
trip… are you kidding me? Really? Andrew called one of his instructors that is
close with the FAA and asked what to do… he said to call the testing phone
number and they should be able to set him up with taking the test in another
state he would just have to pay to travel there…. So we thought we were safe
and that would work… But of course Phoenix is the last testing site … FOR THE
REST OF THE YEAR!!! Needless to say we
would like Andrew to be able to get a job so… we are having to re-schedule our
entire trip… which is frustrating, exhausting and EXPENSIVE… but it should all work out! I am pretty sure going to France, Germany,
Austria and Italy will make up for it right??
